Should We Install A Ventilation System ?

The answer is up to you however, mechanical ventilation will one day be a requirement under the building code its just a matter of time. That is the opinion of the SAYR engineers as mechanical ventilation is the solution to so many issues within the modern home. It is not the fact that is keeps condensation and damp under control, it also offers a healthier option by removing other air borne pollutants and gasses found in every home. No home is free from pollutants and excess moisture regardless whether it’s a 100 year old settlers cottage or the newest design and build.
Studies have found that inside air is 10 x more polluted than outside air so why would not want to constantly keep your inside air cleaner, fresher and healthier.

New age ventilation systems are vastly different to the older styles which had low output fans, minimum vents and were basically manually operated. They had little control over the amount of air being introduced into the home and in some cases made the home colder in winter and too hot in summer. It is these older systems which still give the ventilation industry bad raps today. New age systems, such as the SAYR brand, have sophisticated microprocessor controls which dictate airflow from very high outputs to very low outputs and automatically turn the system on and off dependant on internal and external climates ensuring the inside temperature is not adversely affected.

There is no reason why every home in New Zealand should not have a ventilation system, and ‘opening windows’ is not a comparable option. Opening windows will introduce outside air into the home but there is no control on the volume of air and the quality of air especially when no one is home remembering ventilation system air is filtered.

Talk to one our reps today about having a SAYR system installed in your home and start enjoying a healthier more comfortable  indoor environment.
